The Friday plan after class
Summit opens at five on Fridays, six minutes from campus. Book one lane for a few friends or the whole hall under one reservation, and an axe-pert runs the safety talk and teaches the throw before anyone picks up an axe.
Every throw scores on the board, so a hall night turns into a tournament without anyone planning one.
- Res-hall and floor nights on one reservation
- Campus ministries and student organizations
- Homecoming and family weekend visits
- Birthdays and end-of-semester send-offs
No drink required
The evening is the throwing. Bring your own food or have takeout delivered from the restaurants a block away, and drink whatever you like. Happy Street Brü Werks pours beer and hard seltzer on site for guests 21 and over who want it; plenty of groups never order a thing.
What it costs
Sixty minutes is $30 per person, ninety is $35, and two hours is $40, with coaching and every axe included. Military members, veterans, and first responders get 10% off if you ask before checkout.
Book before it fills

Good to know
How far is Summit Axe Throwing from MVNU?
About two and a half miles, or six minutes by car, from the Martinsburg Road campus to downtown Mount Vernon.
Can a campus group book together?
Yes. One person books for the whole party online and Summit seats you together, up to six throwers per lane across eight lanes.
Is alcohol required or expected?
No. Happy Street Brü Werks is on site for guests 21 and over who want a beer or seltzer, and many groups skip it entirely. Anyone too intoxicated to throw safely is asked to leave.
Do we need experience?
No. An axe-pert teaches every lane the throw and stays available through the session.
Is there a minimum age?
Throwers must be at least 10. Anyone under 18 throws with an adult present, and a parent or legal guardian signs the waiver.
What should we wear?
Closed-toed shoes are required. Flannel is optional but encouraged.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, when a lane is open, but Friday and Saturday nights fill. Booking online is the only way to guarantee a start time.
Can we change the reservation?
Give at least 24 hours' notice to move or cancel for a refund. No-shows are not refunded.
